Tasks are organized by grade level in their library of assessment tasks. There are also tools and information available about scoring assessments.

Mathematics Assessment Project
Purpose: The project is working to design and develop well-engineered assessment tools to support US schools in implementing the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSSM). The site features tools for formative and summative assessment that make knowledge and reasoning visible, that will help teachers to guide students in how to improve, and monitor their progress.

Purpose: Inside Mathematics is a professional resource for educators that feature classroom examples of innovative teaching methods and insights into student learning, tools for mathematics instruction that teachers can use immediately, and video tours of the ideas and materials on the website. Inside Mathematics has aligned its tools and examples to the Common Core.

SMARTER Balanced Assessment Consortium

Purpose: The SMARTER Balanced Assessment Consortium is a state-led consortium working to develop next generation assessments that are aligned to the Common Core State Standards and that accurately measure student progress toward college and career readiness. The South Dakota Department of Education will use SMARTER Balanced Assessments entirely in 2014. Transition between D-Step and SMARTER Balanced in 2012 and 2013.

Illustrative Mathematics ProjectPurpose: Guide the work of states, assessment consortia, and testing companies by illustrating the range and types of mathematical work that students will experience in a faithful implementation of the standards.
